New ClubHouse Building Work Underway

ClubHouse Development Underway

It is with great pleasure that I can confirm that after 5 years of fundraising, tremendous hard work from many club members and the clubhouse development committee we are finally in a position to commence the building of the new Clubhouse.

However this is just the start - we still require donations to ensure we can complete the construction in an acceptable timescale and also reduce our dependency on the loans that we have been successful in securing for the financing of the project.

The Patrons Club is still open to everyone with contributions starting at £1k but any amount however small would be welcome - please contact Dave Clark on 01892 852360 or dclark5420@aol.com for details.

I am particularly pleased to be able to highlight the generous RFU grant and loan, in a period when any financial support is hard come by and the other grants/loans from the Social Enterprise fund and our Sponsors.  This clearly demonstrates that Crowborough RFC is a club going from strength to strength

I would personally like to thank my Colleagues on the Development Committee for the hard work and time they have provided in getting the numerous applications and business plans in place.

After a thorough and independent tender process we are pleased to announce that
R. Dorrill & Sons have won the contract to build the new clubhouse and we are pleased that we are able support the local community by giving the contract to a local company – preparation work has already started.  Over the coming months you can appreciate there will be significant disruptions in and around the clubhouse and car park, so please help us by maximising the remaining parking area, carefully, using the adjacent field whenever possible. Would all parents of Mini and Junior players please note that for the duration of the build there will be a construction site in the car park. The contractors will of course observe full health and safety procedures but it is vital that no children are allowed to play on the site or with any of the materials stored nearby. Your support in supervising your children even more diligently during this time would be appreciated.

So finally it's all systems go but let keep the donations coming in so we don't have to rely on the loans
