1st XV

Last season Crowborough’s 1st XV hit the ground running from the first whistle, playing an open and expansive style of rugby that saw them fall just short of promotion by the narrowest of margins, eventually finishing third in London South East 3.

The goal for the 2011/2012 season is for promotion. Head coach Nick Oldham has elected a new captain in Phil Cooper and new vice captain in Tom Carruthers, and now has a bigger squad than ever to select from with new players joining the club and talented young players coming up from the colts. Squad selection for the 1st team will be on form and merit and strong competition for places is expected.

With the completion of Crowborough’s impressive ‘state-of-the-art’ club house, players and supporters are looking forward to being part of what should be a truly awesome season of rugby.
New players are always welcome to strengthen the squad and training sessions are held on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 7.00pm throughout the season. Andy Barker, the Club's Osteopath, also attends training during the week as well as Saturday's match days. If you are interested in playing for Crowborough contact, Phil Cooper (Captain), Nick Oldham (Coach) or Colin Forster (Director of Rugby), details are on the site.
