CRFC are Double County Champions
After an absolutely brilliant weekend of Rugby Crowborough Rugby Club are proud to announce that we have collected two County Trophies over the weekend 10th /11th April.
Senior Rugby
On Saturday afternoon (10th April) the 2nd XV put in the best performance of the season with a dominant display of attacking rugby. Phil Cooper (Captain) and the lads completely destroyed the opposition, Ditching RFC. The sunny weather brought out a very large crowd and they were entertained throughout with some scintillating tries and passages of play, Ditchling just couldn’t cope with the Borough on the day.
The Final Score being Crowborough 2’s – 61 Ditchling 0.
Congratulations must go to all involved, but John Sayer, (Head Coach of the 2’s), Marc Silve (Assistant Coach) and Arran Faramus, (Faz) (Player /Manager) need a special mention for all the hard work controlling the team this season.
They are now Sussex `Asahi` League Two East League Champions.
This is an outstanding achievement for the Club and for the 2’s who now gain promotion to Sussex Intermediate league next season.

Mini Rugby
Our Mini Section completed the Club’s success yesterday (11th April) with a superb result by Winning the County Championship at Under 8 level.
This is on the back of winning the East Sussex Festival held at Eastbourne a few weeks ago. The final brought together the best from West Sussex, Chichester and the Best from East Sussex, Crowborough, and The Final was played at a neutral ground – Pulborough in West Sussex.
Steve Hart (Head Coach & Mini Chairman) is extremely proud of all his young players with the result.
Chichester 4 – Crowborough 7. (Half Time 4 all)
The team on the day was, Reubin Hart, Rafael Singleton, Scott Robinson, Samuel Ayres, Jake Reet-O’Neil, Jack Kingham, Samuel Marchesi, Hayden Tibbals, Henry Martin and Daniel Young.
Crowborough Under 8’s are Sussex Champions.
A Big Congratulations to all involved with both teams - Well Done !!
